- Renee D. of Biloxi, MS — “This was the best part of our entire week in Orange Beach, AL. (The) kids loved it and the scenery was beautiful.” July 31, 2011
- Angela I. of Louisville, KY — “Just as advertised– the perfect, backwater paddling. Effortless. We saw dolphins, hawks, turtles, fish and a couple of humans. River Rick is the most polite and helpful host! My aunt and I absolutely fell in love with the experience and will undoubtedly make it a routine when visiting! Thank you for being just a bit off the beaten path. Namaste!” July 25, 2011
- Randy M. of Greentown, IN — ” Thanks to BeachnRiver Kayak for a great float last week. My first real kayak trip and I’m hooked! Loved the wildlife and the scenery! The Bon Secour is very beautiful and active with wildlife…nothing scary! I especially enjoyed the porpoises that joined down by the island. What a pleasant surprise for me…about 15 feet off of the bow. Very peaceful and eye pleasing. River Rick was great at getting me set up and comfortable about where I was going. It was easy to follow out and back! Thanks for the opportunity! If you are headed to the Gulf Shores area, this is a MUST DO for the family! ” July 23, 2011
- Patsy H. of Prattville, AL — ” We just returned from a day with BeachnRiver Kayak Rentals and it was great! River Rick and Beachin Betty are super. They were so nice and helpful to first time kayakers. It was a great, fun experience at the end to our time in Gulf Shores! Can’t wait to try it again!” June 13, 2011
- Alyson P. of Gulf Shores, AL — “We live right off Co Rd. 10 and LOVE BeachnRiver Kayak Rentals. We went for the first time last month and it was AMAZING!! We saw so much wildlife and had such a relaxing Sunday on the river. River Rick and Beachin’ Betty are wonderful! I can’t wait to go again.” June 9, 2011
While in Gulf Shores 7/31-8/5 we were seeking a break from the beach and heard about a family oriented kayak outfitter about 7 miles up Hwy 59. Our group of 10 ranged from age 5 to 55, so it had to be safe and not too challenging. Great call! Rick and Betty were helpful, informative and very laid back – made us feel at ease. Perfect for a mid-trip “break”. Beautiful scenery with “shallow” spots on the river to take a break or have an “on the water” picnic. Didn’t see the dolphins, but plenty of wildlife. Fun, relaxing 3-4 hour trip. We will be doing this again next year!
… and what a FUN and spirited group you are! I’m still waiting to learn what kind of feather you found to put in your ballcap. If THAT doesn’t scream “Huck Finn” I’m not sure what does. River Rick and Beachin’ Betty look forward to having the McGraw group join us again for another adventure. Maybe we’ll have enough feathers to put in all the caps!
