Foley, AL — Folks can most likely “find” BeachnRiver Kayak Rentals when using the search phrases “Kayaking Gulf Shores AL” on various Search Engines, or after scrolling to “Things To Do Water Activities – Kayaking ” the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach.com website. But unless they are specifically interested in “kayaking” or engaging in “water sports,” they may overlook a spectacularly fun, and yet relaxing, way for their families/groups/couples to engage in a completely unique, “hidden gem,” vacation experience while visiting the Alabama Gulf Coast.
They may not be aware of how comparatively “budget-friendly” our activity is.
They may also not be aware of how easy and relatively “safe” (and PERFECT for first-time kayakers!) our adventure is, compared with other “water activities.”
This is regretful — for the thousands of guests that seek something truly “unique” to do while vacationing on Alabama’s beautiful Gulf Coast.
Over the years various bloggers — and websites like Alabama Travel, GulfShores.com and Visit Foley.com — have included our info on their webpages. We are extremely grateful for the listings and for their efforts to promote our business. We reciprocate, promote and list these websites on our blogs and on our website.
Yet, we hear over and over again, phrases like: “We just happened to hear about you (by referral from a friend, family member etc.) and we’ve been coming to Gulf Shores, or the Alabama Gulf Coast for years!“
“I wish we’d known about y’all years before,“ some guests lament.
What disturbs us when we hear these types of comments that suggest our activity is an “afterthought” or “happenstance,” is the awareness we have a colossal amount of press/listings/blogs and social media postings etc. “out there” on the www after the nearly 10 years we’ve been operating!
Several of our guests tell us they use TripAdvisor.com to search for lodging, restaurants, and activities. More than likely, they head to this page: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g30531-Activities-Foley_Alabama.html then venture out from there.
On this page there are: (three) Museums, (two) Shopping Choices, (two) Water/Amusement Park listings and (one) Sight/Landmark (all of OWA ), (one) Concert & Show and of, course, (one) Traveler Resource — The Foley Welcome Center, listed.
I don’t know why, but one of the most unique Water Activities in Foley, AL is not listed on this page. So, unless a person specifically wants to search (out of curiosity?) if there are any water activities in Foley, they will be only aware of the above recommendations.
You can “find us” listed under “Boat Tours and Water Sports.”
Near the bottom of the page are listed categories, “Types of Things To Do” and “Commonly Searched For in Foley.” Under the category, “Commonly Searched For In Foley” BeachnRiver Kayak Rentals can be found under: “Good For Big Groups.”
I’m not sure which comes first, folks “searching” various categories, or category listings that make it easy for folks to search (and find!) businesses such as ours.
So I decided I’d “help” guests to the (L.A.) Lower Alabama Coast which includes Mobile, “the Alabama Eastern Shores” cities of Daphne, Fairhope, Spanish Fort and anyone vacationing in Ft. Morgan, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Perdido Beach — even Pensacola, Fl — find what we consider one of the best (off the beaten path) “#1 Best Kayak Rental in the Wide World!” — as voted upon by 100 % of family members (includin’ BooBoo the dog) sittin’ around the kitchen table,” says “River Rick” “Hidden Gem” forms of amusement by offering these additional categories for your consideration:— “Beachin’ Betty”
