- Rain is to be expected during summer floats. Make-up time or a later float time may be offered. No refunds or discounts will be offered.
- Group reservations must pay in full and secure at least 24 hours in advance. No refunds allowed for late or no shows. A make-up date will be offered.
- All group reservations made by phone or via email may request an invoice through Paypal which must be paid at least 24 hours in advance of scheduled float.
- Beach’n'River does not have a cash bank and does not keep cash on site. Please, no bills over $20.
- All reservations must pay in Cash. No Personal Checks allowed.
- Please park in spaces designated by owner.
- Do NOT cross through shrubs, trees or fence-line. There are brambles, rusty barbed wire fencing. Walk to the gravel drive and ring bell for assistance.
- Do NOT PARK in field across from property.
- Arrive 15 minutes before scheduled float to secure paperwork and for discussion of Rules and inspection of coolers, etc.
- Groups should arrive 30 minutes in advance.
- Late arrivals will be deferred to the next available float time unless there are kayaks available.
- ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST COMPLETE A MARINE POLICE INFORMATION SHEET WHICH WILL BE HANDED TO POLICE IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY. All participants must read and sign a WAIVER OF RESPONSIBILITY ACKNOWLEDGING FLOAT RULES AND REPLACEMENT FEES. Care must be taken to print legibly. To facilitate registration you may download, print forms and bring completed forms.
- DRIVER’S LICENSE and COMPLETE CONTACT INFO WILL BE COLLECTED from responsible party. Driver’s License will be returned after satisfactory return of all equipment.
- Consenting adults MUST PROVIDE EMAIL, TELEPHONE, DRIVER’S LICENSE, CORRECT ADDRESS AND CREDIT CARD INFORMATION for underage participants in the event of damage. Owner will return info crossed out and signed upon request or it will be destroyed after return of equipment in satisfactory condition.
- Consenting adults will be held liable for ANY damage to private property, boats or equipment and will be charged accordingly.
- Respect should be given toward parking, pathways and flowerbeds etc.
- The swimming pool is NOT available for floaters. Owners will kindly request any individuals to stay away from pool and private area ONE TIME. The second request will order individuals off the property. There will be NO REFUNDS for any breach of rules and participants may be refused future entrance onto the property depending on the severity of breach.
- Beach’n'River Canoe and Kayak Rentals offers generous hours of operation. We ask you respect our privacy during closed hours. Please make an appointment to tour. There will be no loitering or trespassing of property allowed without a valid reservation and past reservation hours. This also means: just because you have floated with us, you are not entitled to cross our property to float, swim, picnic or fish off our bank in the future. We will prosecute trespassers!
- Owners kindly request no cigarette/cigar smoking, profanity and no illegal substances (including alcohol ) be brought onto the property. Owners reserve the right to inspect any and all BACKPACKS AND COOLERS FOR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES. Anyone arriving to site visibly impaired by alcohol or illegal substances will have their keys and driver’s license confiscated or be ordered off the property. Authorities will be be contacted and violators will be subject to possible trespassing and criminal charges.
- We do NOT offer a public launch. Personal watercraft are not allowed to park or launch from our location. There ARE NO PUBLIC LAUNCHES ON THE BON SECOUR RIVER. It is illegal to impede traffic and park alongside the roads. Violators will be considered as trespassers and vehicles will be towed at your cost and/or authorities will be notified.
- The property has surveillance cameras in use.
- Be a good neighbor — families live along the Bon Secour River and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Please be respectful and keep noise and music to a low level. It is unacceptable to use profanity. Should you breach this request you will be asked to leave and your deposit will be forfeited.
- Be a good neighbor to fellow boaters — you will come across swimmers, pleasure boaters and fishermen. Be respectful of their rights to enjoy the river and give right of way.
- DO NOT DOCK THE BOATS — private property owners do not take kindly to trespassing!
- DO NOT chop or otherwise grab native plants as they provide shelter for fish and wildlife and prevent erosion along river and creek banks.
- DO NOT LITTER!! — be a good steward of the earth. Put your trash (including cigarette butts!) in trash bags.
- Do not use paddles to push into the sand to propel forward. If you get stuck — get out of the boat and carry it until you are able to float again. Likewise tree limbs and log dams.
- It is important to consider water moccasins are active in the summer months. DO NOT put your hands under logs, in holes etc. without first making a great deal of noise. Snakes are easily seen as they swim above the water and will scurry off if frightened by loud noise.
- Do not use the paddles as weapons or swords against one another. They are not toys. You WILL be liable for any damages to boat and gear.
- Children under the age of 10 must wear LIFE JACKETS during the duration of float.
- In the event of group functions all rules must be read to minor children.

* You may be able to purchase the above equipment for less — we realize this. However we will lose inventory and revenue as a result of damage and turnaround time to replace can take weeks. We may incur higher purchase costs due to price increases, cost to ship and handle etc. OUR LOST TIME = LOST INCOME. Please respect our equipment.
